This year's Jog-a-thon is FRIDAY MAY 10th 2019

The Jog-a-thon has been a Douglass tradition since 2005. Each year, the kids take to the field for 20 minutes of running laps to upbeat music and an enthusiastic crowd of supporters!  We’re kicking off our Jog-a-thon fundraising drive and volunteer recruitment for the month of April. Over the 4 weeks we hope to raise $20,000 to help meet our PTO budget and fund our classrooms this year!

Dear Douglass Families,

It’s time to gear up for our long standing Douglass tradition, the Jog-a-thon! Each class will take to the field for some fun running on Friday May 10th, only 3 weeks from now.  We need your help! In this email are links to volunteer sign-up, and our fundraising page.

Please join us on May 10th by signing up for a volunteer spot. If you have any questions about volunteering, ask me!

Volunteer for JAT

The running schedule is as follows:

Kindergarten and Preschool 8:15 - 9:00

1st and 2nd grade 9:05-9:50

3rd and 4th grades 9:55 - 10:40

5th grade 10:45-11:30

Over the next 4 weeks we hope to raise $20,000 to help meet our PTO budget and fund our classrooms this year! Here is where you can donate online JAT donations. However, if you mail a check to Douglass we avoid paying PayPal fees.

Here is a sample support letter you can cut and paste in to an email to potential supporters:

I am running in the 2019 Douglass Elementary Jog-a-thon on Friday May 10th.  This is a fundraiser for my school, please consider supporting me! You can follow this link,JAT donations to donate to my class, listed by teacher. My teacher is ______________ You can also mail a check made out to “Douglass Elementary PTO”, just enclose a note with my name and my teacher’s name so my class gets credit!
