The Technical Support Committee: a.k.a. "The Deek Squad.”
Commitment: 2 hours per week (office hours at the school) plus any additional email support.
This is a group of volunteers who help the teachers and staff by providing supplemental technical support beyond what is offered by the district’s Information Technology IT team. This helps the teachers be able to focus more time on the kids.   We offer weekly on-site Office Hours and an email support line for assistance requests. This group can  also develop training, best practices, and procedures for the staff.  There are opportunities to work on projects (i.e. building grade level websites) and work on emergent problems (i.e. resolving Google print issues). Volunteers who have been involved in the past include entrepreneurs, tech executives, web developers, and folks who just like to play around with technology or programming.  Contact Michelle Hillmeyer at michelle.hillmeyer@gmail.com if you are interested.
